June 16, 2014

The week has been good, a little slow with the World Cup going on and the Fathers Day, the people here will take advantage of whatever holiday you will give them.v My comp is doing really good and it is the same Spanish. He speaks pure espanol this is like vosotros y vos and stuff like that so every once in a while it is different but it is the same language. That is cool that you had contact with that lady Yeah really there is nothing to worry about here, it is really safe. The climate is really dry and a lot like utah. ( about talking to Sister Graph from St. George whose son has been called to the Tijuana Mission) Yeah that will be quite the trip for the Redds but it will be fun for them for sure.
Keep the yard looking good! Keep those boy fed and give them lots of love.
I love you mom!
Love,
Elder Zundel

Wow that is going to be the trip for that little family, 10 miles for two little dudes is a long ways. Today my comp and I started to work out really good and tell you what I got some sore legs, we will be in pretty good shape by the time this transfer is over.
My companion and I are stacked! (before pic)
Hey how bout we go on a fishin trip some day! Yeah i would imagine that the house is pretty crazy with those three playing around all day long, good thing mom is done with school to take care of them. Yup you better got a rinding mower paps cause I will have about a week and a half in the house and then I will be in southern Utah.
Things with the comp are going really good, as long as he has someone to keep him going and being obedient there are not any problems. This week was a little rough for me though, I am a little disanimated right now cause there is not a lot going on here, and the ward is really slow not doing much work at all, and that is where we have success is when the ward works with us. Yeah but things are rollin' with the world cup! Tomorrow will be a big day here in Mexico, because they play Brazil!! Things are still going well here I think I will buy some shoes in a couple of weeks. cause if I buy them now the Hills here will just tear them apart.
I love you dad thanks for all of the support.
 Love,
Elder Zundel

Oh yeah they prohibited all of the activities that we can do in all of mexico. we can't have zone or district activities and we can't have more than 4 missionaries together at a time. I HATE THAT! but oh well the mission goes on. That means no more basketball or soccer.....

Haha mom don't worry about it I still love you, even though you don't love me enough to write me hahah just kidding. (mom's email was sent after his:( ) This week was really normal nothing new, well we did have transfers, my new comp is Elder Purisaga he is from Peru! He has 18 months in the mission and a reputacion to be a little disobedient but we will make a change to that!
That's good that they are pushing the people to get out of their comfert zone they need the push. ( Our stake mission plan, at home) Oh i am so jealious of Coop and Payton I want to do that so bad!  Havasupi Falls) I am sad to hear the lawn doesn't look so good, just get it looking good for next year! I stay in contact a little bit with the other mothers of missionaries, but not to much.
Thanks for all you do for me mother I love you.
 Love,
 Elder Zundel

That's really good to hear the Jason got a better job out there, little bit of a commute but worth it, no?
YOU JUST MAKE SURE THE BOAT IS READY TO GO IN AUGUST OF 2015! Thats a bummer that there always seems to be a problem, but usually one at the beginning of the year and the rest is good. No I am not really getting fat just flat, but I would still like some workout cds I haven't got the package yet but mom said she didn't send them. I will get the package this Friday.
That is awesome the the stake is moving the work forward! I hope that they can see some success from their efforts. I didn't get to see Taylor's invitation yet either. Really this week was really normal nothing extreme happened just normal so I don't have much to say mainly thanks for everything and I love you.!
we were going to baptize this young man but then things went down the drain with the family that he was being taught with.... sad...

An awesome family

Yeah, the weather is heating up, but it is a lot like home too. One day it will be really hot and the next is just normal. But the hills are not getting easier just so you know.
'Dr. Scholls'
We are working really hard right now to find new people and teach a lot of lessons during the week. Our goal is 40 lesson a week. No slackin around for that.
This week we saw a pretty cool miracle. So we have a family who were investigating the church and went to church like 5 to 7 times and never were baptized. So we passed by when I first got to the area, and we could hear them inside and they wouldn't answer the door, so we said nope we ain't gunna come back. But then a sister in the ward asked us to visit them with her so we went and had a good lesson with them, but after that we would go by the house and could hear them inside and they wouldn't answer the door. So we said, ya, we aren't going to come back and we cleaned our feet at their door. Then during this week we passed by the daughter (Karina) in the street and she told us that she wanted us to come by. so, ahh, we said okay, but we weren't expecting much. We go there and have an awesome lesson and we testified really powerful of the Book of Mormon and Karina accepted a baptismal date for the 19 of June! What a miracle that we found her in the street, cause we were not going to return. Well that is my story of the week.
Sounds like you guys are going to keep pretty busy with the little ball games of all of the little boys.
Ha that has got to be pretty funny. (ward story about the cats)  I really think what you guys are doing with the ward is really good. Remember that the ward looks up to and follows the example of the ward mission leader in the work of salvation.
I love you paps I will try to fight the paracites, that rhymed! Oh and could you guys send me a usb that way I can just put the fotos on a usb and dont have to use more SD cards.
 Love,
 Elder Zundel
Good tacos!

Memorial day that means no work for you?? Oh I am pretty excited to see all of the little people (nieces and nephews) they are going to be very different.  Wow last week of school,  I wish I could ge back to be honest with you haha I sound like such a looser saying that but it was a blast. (burning the couch, bad idea) Taylor Lund is so excited to get out there I am really excited for him too.

I read the forwarded emails thanks! They are both converts and really good people, thats nice to hear stuff like that! Yeah really technology is pretty awesome it will be really nice to be able to keep ion touch with all of these people.

Well hopefully the ward can grab hold of the work cause there is a lot to be done! Tell you what the mission has changed my point of view of what kind of member I want to be and will be when I get back, I like that we are in the midst of the restaracion that it wasn't finished with the fist vision of Jose Smith, but we have work to do.

Well this week 3 children of God entered the waters of baptism! It is crazy how many baptisms there are here in Mexico! the work is really moving along fast! But other than that it was a pretty normal week nothing out of ordinary happened. Oh we got to play some basketball and some dogdeball today!!! That was nice to be able to play a sport for a little bit! Dogdeball reminded me of when we would play with the pitching machine balls ha good times in scout camp!

I love you paps thanks for all you do for me.
 Love,
 Elder Zundel

HAHAHa! Kolts coment mad me laugh out loud, ( Kolt quote: "um....moms are a little better than dads, because they are smarter than dads)  ha, cause they know were my shoes are! I love those little guys, I really do worry about them a lot cause there are so dang many! Is anybody pregnant yet?  Fonsy baby! he will be a really good missionary with the work ethic that he has.(on Branson Fonnsbeck getting his mission call)

I really want to go camping, Elder Skinner sent me some fotos last week of him fishing and that made me really jealous... You are going to go to los Angeles for Julians wedding? are you going to come and see me or what???

Things are going good here we are going to eat dinner with some of our investigators tonight and we are hoping to set a baptism date for them, They are pretty ready for the gospel in there lives. But things this week were pretty chill, our goal for lecciones every week is 40 and this week we got 42 so we are working hard here in Mexico, Just hoping to see the fruits of our labors here pretty soon!

I know I am in your prayers thanks for all that you do for me mother I love you.

May 19, 2014

Yeah we stopped by Carls Jr.  before we took money out of the bank so I got a little sandwich! Shoot, Grantsville, well good for them but better for Jared that would be a really cool experience! (STate baseball and soccer) I can bet you guys are pretty busy with all of the yard work, sooner that later we are going to be doing a yard work day for you two old farts like we do for grandma,  ha. Yeah if the people in this world acted to their beliefs this world would be a whole different place. But yeah people are changing here everyday and it is wonderful to see!
Speaking of which I would like to share an experience that was really powerful yesterday. So yesterday was a wonderful day, to start off, we had a confirmation to a baptism, whoop! Then later in the day we were out doing our visits and saving the world. We went to a new converts house and one of her friends walked in and his name is Alberto, and he had a couple of questions about the gospel not really the church but just religion. So he started talking and he talked a whole bunch and while he talked we tried to put the gospel in to the conversation. Then he touched the subject about God, and I bore my testimony about how God loves us and all of that, and he just broke down and started crying. He told us about how he had had a dream that God had come down by his side and held his hand and told him everything was going to be alright. So that was all cool and really spiritual and we set up another appointment with him! Then after this, the spirit was just full in the room. We were about to leave, when one of the recent converts asked us to give a blessing to her son of about 30 years, he is not a member his name is Omar. So we explained first what we were going to do and how we had authority of God to do it, and so he agreed and my comp did the unción and I did the sealing,  and when I said amen tears just started flowing out of his eyes and he said I don't know why I am crying and just continued to cry. We explained to him a little more about the power of the priesthood and that the Holy Ghost was testifying to him of the truthfulness and comforting him.
This all just helps my testimony grow so much, cause it is not like I said any magic words to make Omar feel the way he did, but the power of the Holy Ghost bearing witness to him, I know this is the church of God and that he has given His sons the sacred power of the priesthood to work miracles here on the earth.
I love you Dad thanks for always being a worthy preisthood holder and example for me.
Love,
 Elder Zundel

We were told that the mission puts 50 years on you just the other day by the presidents wife and it think it is true! I already want to just be perfect in all that I do when I get back. I wrote dad a long letter so that is for the both of you! I love you, mother. Love your bello Hijo

Oh, and Aunt Lisa sent me a package! Tell her thank you so much, make sure to give her a big hug and a little kiss on the cheek for me!

I love you mom!
Yesterday was wonderful I loved every minute of it! I am glad I got to see everyone and all of the nieces and nephews they are all groing up so much!
I know we are going to see a lot of fruits of our labors in this next little while and I am really excited for that!
Tell Ada Hola! that is awesome that she got that and that she has a goal to go to the temple, that is what I like to tell the people here, that the goal is not baptism but to enter the temple.
I love you mom and I know you love me.
Love,
 ELder Zundel

Yesterday was a wonderful day! It gives me a little bit of fire to get some more work done out here!
Um I will let you know when I will buy some shoes. I checked today about contacts and it looks like I will need some new ones in about 3 months or so.
Thanks for all that you do for me dad and the example that you are for me, you keep me going in the work of the Lord. You will always be my hero.
Love you.
